COLUMBIA, SC (WSPA/WBTW) – The University of South Carolina student who was kidnapped and killed will be recognized during graduation next month.
Officials told News13’s sister station 7News that Samantha Josephson will be awarded with a posthumous degree.
Josephson was a political science major and had plans to attend law school in the fall.
Her body was found more than a week ago in a wooded area in Clarendon County.
Authorities said Josephson mistakenly got into a car that she thought was an Uber vehicle in Five Points.
Nathaniel Rowland has since been charged in her death.
