Two upcoming lottery drawings are worth more than $500 million combined.
A press release from the South Carolina Education Lottery says the next Mega Millions drawing will have its 6th largest jackpot at $433 million dollars. Mega Millions tickets are two dollars each and the drawing will be held Friday at 11 p.m. Tickets must be purchased by 10 p.m. The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in about 303 million.
On Saturday, a drawing will be held for a $130 million Powerball jackpot, according to the release. Powerball tickets are two dollars each and must be purchased by 9:59 p.m. The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in about 293 million.
The release also says South Carolina has had seven Powerball winning tickets, but has never had a Mega Millions jackpot winner.
