The U. S. Postal Inspection Service is offering a reward for a suspect who shot a carrier with a pellet gun. 

According to a press release, the service is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect(s) who assaulted a letter carrier in Fairmont, North Carolina. 

The assault happened around 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, the release says. The letter carrier was shot with a pellet gun while delivering mail at 604 Stafford Drive and a pellet became lodged in the carrier’s arm.
