It has been two years since the body of Christina Bennett was found inside a home on Peachtree Street in Lumberton. She was the first of three women whose bodies were found in a four-block radius around East 5th and East 9th Streets.

Bennett was found on April 18, 2017,  Rhonda Jones was found deceased outside a house on East 5th Street that same day. Megan Oxendine was found deceased outside a house on East 8th Street a few weeks later on June 3, 2017.

Now two years later the Lumberton Police Department and FBI are still looking for answers.

“The Lumberton Police Department has spent countless hours working to determine how Christina, Rhonda, and Megan died.” Said Lumberton Police Chief Michael McNeill. “I once again plead to the public, help us find out what happened to the women. They were loved dearly by their families who deserve to know what happened to them,”

The FBI is offering a $30,000 reward for information that helps investigators determine what led up to the deaths of these three women.

Anyone with information should call the Lumberton Police Department at 910-671-3845 or FBI Charlotte at 704-672-6100.
