The North Carolina Highway Patrol is asking for help from the public following a deadly hit-and-run in Robeson County.

According to an incident report, Tammy Lynn Dial, 49, of Melissa Drive in Pembroke, was killed when she was struck by a vehicle Sunday night around 11 p.m.

Dial was walking south on Philadelphus Road, about two miles north of Pembroke.

The vehicle that troopers are looking for is believed to be a Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Suburban or GMC XL. The vehicle may be white in color and should have damage on the front of it.
