A Maxton man was arrested after drugs, money and a stolen gun was found in his car during a traffic stop. 

According to a press release from the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies pulled over 27-year-old Cody Alexander Locklear for a traffic stop Friday. This led to deputies finding cocaine, drug paraphernalia, a stolen firearm, and approximately $13,439.

Deputies then obtained a warrant and searched Locklear’s home where they found more cocaine, as well as amphetamine capsules, drug paraphernalia, and another stolen firearm.

Locklear has been arrested and is being charged with two counts of Trafficking Cocaine by Possession, one count of Trafficking Cocaine by Transporting, Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, or Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance, two counts of Maintaining a Drug Dwelling/Vehicle/Place, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, 2 counts of Possession of a Stolen Firearm and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

At last check, Locklear was being held at the Robeson County Detention Center on a $625,000 secured bond. At the time of his arrest, Locklear was out on bond for previous drug and weapons offenses from Robeson and Hoke Counties.

Authorities expect more arrests as the investigation continues.
