ROWLAND, NC AREA (WBTW) – The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office has charged a teenager in the shooting death of a 70-year-old Rowland man.
Skyler Nakota Lowery, 18, of Animal Road, was charged on Thursday with first-degree murder in relation to the death of Henry Rogers, 70, of Union Street, according to the sheriff’s office homicide division.
According to the RCSO in a press release, Rogers and Lowery were acquainted. Lowery had previously worked for Rogers during the summer.
Deputies responded to a call on Thursday at 538 Union School Road for an unresponsive male, according to the RCSO. They found Rogers dead inside his home.
Lowery is being held at the Robeson County Detention Center with no bond.
