Suspect wanted for murder after shooting in Robeson County

A man is wanted after a shooting in Robeson County. 

Captain James Obershea, with the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Task Force, says 19-year-old Zyquis Rhaheim Lewis-McNair, of St. Pauls, North Carolina, is wanted in connection with a shooting that injured another man.

Lewis-McNair is wanted for first degree murder, possession of a firearm by a felon, and discharging a weapon into an occupied vehicle. 

According to Obershea, deputies responded to the 9800 block of Rennert Road in Shannon around 12:45 a.m. on Monday for a person who had been shot. Deputies found a 26-year-old victim unresponsive and it appeared he had been shot. The shooting took place in the parking lot at 12300 Rennert Rd. 

The victim is identified in a press release as Jessie Locklear, of St. Pauls.  

Obershea also says Lewis-McNair is believed to be armed and dangerous.
