Deputies with the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office have made an arrest in the murder of a 78-year-old woman.
According to a press release from the department, deputies responded to 70 Primrose Drive, Fairmont in reference to an alarm call just after 5 a.m. Sunday. When they arrived they found 78-year-old Annie Grace Davis deceased in her home. Davis appeared to have been stabbed during a burglary.
Deputies arrested 27-year-old Jonathan Martin Oliver in connection with the case. Oliver is charged with First-degree murder, First-degree burglary, and Robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Oliver grew up in the same community and was familiar with Davis.
Oliver is being held at the Robeson County Detention Center without bond.
