(WBTW/AP) — South Carolina voters will head to the polls Tuesday to narrow the field of political candidates in a number of primary races.

The South Carolina gubernatorial race has become recently heated with the gap between the top candidates becoming smaller.

Republican Gov. Henry McMaster faces four challengers, including Kevin Bryant, Yancey McGill, Catherine Templeton and John Warren.

Three Democratic candidates are vying for their party’s nomination – Phil Noble, James Smith and Marguerite Willis.

Attorney General Alan Wilson faces challengers Todd Atwater and William Herlong. Secretary of State Mark Hammond is up against Joshua Putnam, Kerry Wood, and Nelson Faerber.

Runoff elections will be held June 26 in races where candidates don’t secure 50 percent of votes.

All election results can be found here. Polls will open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
