ANDERSON, SC (WSPA) – From the golf course with President Donald Trump to the Upstate talking tariffs, Senator Lindsey Graham has been busy.

Graham made a stop at the Anderson Chamber of Commerce meeting Monday morning to talk with the community on the current political climate.  Several businesses have come to the chamber expressing concern on tariffs on steel and aluminum.

Senator Graham addressed the impact the tariffs are having on South Carolina and said it will get worse before it gets better.

“It’s going to take awhile before we get there you are going to see some increase in prices, the supply chain will be costly and you will pay more in the short term, but here is the way I look at China, pay now or pay later they cheat us too much and I’m glad Trump is finally standing up to them,” Graham said.

While in Anderson, the senator toured Glen Raven, one of the many manufacturing companies in the county.  He checked in and saw how the factory has grown and talked to the CEO about his concerns about the export industry as well.
