GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) – Authorities in South Carolina have put a security plan into place for a Drag Queen Story Hour and protest at a library.

The Greenville Sun reports the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office is putting several temporary rules in place during the Sunday event that’s set for 3 to 5 p.m. at Five Forks Library in Simpsonville after some social media threats were made.

A protest event is also scheduled in the library’s parking lot. Rules that’ll be in effect include no bags or weapons on the library’s property.

The event has drawn some controversy, with petitions for and against it each garnering thousands of signatures. Greenville County library officials canceled the event’s initial reservation earlier this week, but organizers later said that a new application for the event had been approved.
