ST. PAULS, NC (WBTW)   A Robeson County man arrested by U.S. Marshals faces rape, kidnapping, other charges.

Earl Sinclair, Jr., 45, of Blanchard Rd. in St. Pauls, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Services in Person County, NC on Wednesday, according to a press release from the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office. Sinclair was reportedly wanted by the RCSO for “multiple felonies that occurred from December 22, 2018 to March 21, 2019.”

The RCSO began an investigation on March 20, the release said. The victim was reportedly found in the roadway after jumping out of a vehicle allegedly driven by Sinclair in the St. Pauls area.

The victim reported that she was held captive in her bedroom and sexually assaulted multiple times over the past three months, the release also said. “On March 22, 2019 Robeson County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at the residence of Sinclair and obtained warrants on Sinclair.”

Sinclair reportedly has an alias of Romulus Arkbar Sinclair, said the release. Sinclair is charged with “first degree forcible rape, crimes against nature, first degree kidnapping, second degree kidnapping and possession of firearm by a convicted felon.” He is in the custody of Durham County Detention without bond.
