The Reedy River Duck Derby is celebrating its 14th year.
The Rotary Club of Greenville Evening organizes this event as it’s primary driving fundraiser.
This year they hope to make up to $70,000. The money raised goes toward helping supported charities.
The charities use these funds for their programs and to buy equipment.
Some of the various charities that The Rotary Club supports help the homeless and special needs children.
Each duck is $10, but you can buy a “quack pack” which is 4 ducks for $30.
The first place duck comes with a prize of a year’s worth of Publix groceries.
The derby will begin at 2:30 pm, but you only have until 2:00 pm to adopt a duck.
It is a family fun day with food, arts, and live music. The event will take place from 10 am to 4 pm at Falls Park on the Reedy.
