WALTERBORO, SC (WCBD) – Authorities in Walterboro are investigating suspicious activity after receiving reports about a man approaching women with odd requests.
According to the Walterboro Police Department, investigators received information that an older white male, approximately 64-years-old, approached several women in Walmart.
Officers say they man requests them to “stand on his stomach”. The man reportedly offered some of them women compensation for the proposition.
Even though the act itself is not considered criminal, police wanted to warn the community because of the nature of the request and the individual’s suspicious behavior.
Walmart is aware of the incident and has taken precautions.
Police say you should always be aware of your surroundings, never leave children unattended and if you see anything suspicious you are urged to report it immediately.
