This Thanksgiving isn’t going to be the same for the family of a Lumberton teen still missing. Investigators said 13-year-old Hania Aguilar was forced into an SUV in front of her home on the morning of Nov. 5.
Aguilar was kidnapped from the Rosewood Mobile Home park. Investigators said a man wearing a bandana over his face forced the teen into and SUV and took off.
The FBI said it has received several leads, but nothing has lead them to Aguilar.
Meanwhile, the feeling in the neighborhood where she was kidnapped is a somber one. Her friends and classmates say it’s not the same without her.
“Everybody used to come outside play basketball, jump on the trampoline with me and my friends, and now they’re not outside as much,” said Aguilar’s friend Joesph Ballestros.
“It always gives me emotions and stuff cause she’s not here and I don’t have nobody to talk to,” added friend Jair Santos.
Aguilar’s family, still distraught over what’s happened, did not want to talk on camera, but the FBI is still asking people to report anything suspicious.
