Nearly 156,000 customers are without power across North Carolina as Hurricane Florence moves through the area. 

According to NC Emergency Management, 156,068 customers in North Carolina are without power as of 11 p.m. The top counties affected by outages are Beaufort, Carteret, Craven, Onslow, Pamlico, and Pender. 

Duke Energy’s outage map shows about 66,000 outages in NC and SC as of 10:40 p.m. on Thursday:

  • Onslow County, NC: 14,239 
  • Craven County, NC: 13,522
  • Pender County, NC: 4,816
  • Pamlico County, NC: 3,878
  • New Hanover County, NC: 3,042
  • Robeson County, NC: 934
  • Beaufort County, NC: 921
  • Cumberland County, NC: 146
  • Columbus County, NC: 87
  • Brunswick County, NC: 60
  • Marion County, SC: 51
  • Marlboro County, SC: 11
  • Dillon County, SC: 5
  • Georgetown County, SC: 5
  • Horry County: 1

Lumbee River EMC only reported 1 outage as of 10:40 p.m. on Thursday. 

SCE&G, Horry Electric Cooperative, and Santee Cooper had no reported outages as of 10:40 p.m. on Thursday.
