RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – A Raleigh man is behind bars after being charged with multiple child sex crimes, according to a Wake County Magistrate’s Order.
Peter Joseph Montgomery, 34, of Halcott Court, is facing charges of first-degree exploitation of a minor, second-degree exploitation of a minor, and third-degree exploitation of a minor.
According to court documents, Montgomery created a “visual representation” of an 11-year-old girl’s fully nude body, then transferred the file from his cellphone to his laptop, and was then found to be in possession of the file.
The date of the offense is listed as occurring between June 2 and June 26.
Documents do not show if Montgomery created more than one file of the young girl or if he possessed other related images.
He was arrested at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday and is being held in the Wake County Detention Center under a $1.5 million bond, according to arrest records.
