LUMBER BRIDGE AREA, NC (WBTW) – A man is wanted and charged with murder in reference to the death of a 29-year-old man in Robeson County.

The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release that Nicholas Locklear, 21, of Lumber Bridge, is wanted in reference to the death of Mitchell D. Emanuel, 29, also of Lumber Bridge.

Locklear will be charged with first degree murder, according to the RCSO.

Deputies responded to the 200 block of Chris Rd. in Lumber Bridge around 12:19 a.m. Friday in reference to a person shot. Emanuel was found inside of the residence with “multiple gunshot wounds.” He was taken to Southeastern Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.

Emanuel’s death is being investigated by the RCSO Homicide and Criminal Investigations Divisions.
