The Scotland County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man who is wanted on warrants for indecent liberties with a minor child.
According to a post on the Scotland County Detective Division’s Facebook page, the Scotland County Sheriff’s Office is searching for Sherman Smith, 43, of Laurinburg, North Carolina. Smith is wanted “for two felony warrants pertaining to indecent liberties with a minor child.”
The SCSO Criminal Investigations Division conducted two separate felony investigations involving a minor child, “in which Smith allegedly sexually assaulted both minor children on separate dates,” the post says. Smith is believed to be somewhere within Laurinburg, “likely in the city limits.”
