LAUREL HILL, NC (WBTW) – A woman who was shot in Scotland County died just before midnight, the sheriff’s office reported Friday morning.
The woman was shot on Oak Street in Laurel Hill, according to Lt. Jessica Sadovnikov, with the Scotland County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies received the call around 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
Charges against William Cecil Brisson Jr., 19, who deputies say shot the woman, will be upgraded from attempted murder to murder charges.
