Man charged after Robeson Co. deputies respond to dispute between brothers, find man stabbed

A man has been charged after Robeson County deputies responded to a dispute between brothers and found another man stabbed.

Around 12:09 p.m. on Monday, deputies with the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 300 block of Lumbee Ave. for a dispute between brothers, according to a press release from the RCSO. While responding, deputies were reportedly told that Christopher Locklear, 39, was stabbed during the dispute.

When deputies arrived, Locklear was reportedly found in the road “bleeding from multiple stab wounds.” He was taken to a hospital for treatment and is listed in critical condition.

The dispute reportedly began “because of the alleged unauthorized use of the mother’s vehicle.”

Kinno Thakur Locklear, 40, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and inflicting serious injury. He was placed in to the custody of Robeson County Detention and given a $50,000 secured bond.
