LUMBERTON, NC (WBTW) – A Lumberton woman is behind bars facing charges of first degree murder.
According to Captain Terry Parker, Angela Simone Irons, 46, is accused of shooting Kenneth Wayne Bryant, 41, at an apartment on East 9th Street.
Lumberton Police officers responded around 10:00 p.m. Saturday and found Bryant dead from an apparent gunshot wound.
Irons is being held at the Robeson County Detention Center without bond. She is also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The Roberson County District Attorney’s Office is assisting in the investigation. Anyone with more information is asked to contact Detectives Charles Keenum and Evan Whitley at the Lumberton Police Department.
