Lumberton police seek information about hit-and-run

LUMBERTON, NC (WBTW) – Lumberton police are asking for information about a hit-and-run.

On March 16, around 8:21 a.m., two vehicles collided at the intersection of Roberts Ave. and Walnut Street, according to a press release from the Lumberton Police Department. One vehicle was a black 2011 Chevrolet Camaro and the other vehicle was a dark-colored 1999 Ford pickup pulling a trailer that was hauling equipment.

A caller reported the crash to Lumberton Communications and said the driver of the black Camaro had left the scene, the release said. The driver was described as a black male, wearing a large, gold necklace.

The LPD also said they need that caller to contact Officer Jordan Campbell at 910-671-3845. Anyone with information is also asked to contact police.
