LUMBERTON, NC (WBTW) – Lumberton police are searching for the person who shot a man in the back Monday night.
Captain Terry Parker with the Lumberton Police Department says officers were called to the Sundo, located at 3623 MLK Drive in Lumberton, around 6 p.m. Monday night for a shots fired call. Shortly after officers were called to the scene, a gunshot wound victim arrived at Southeastern Health with a gunshot wound to the back.
The 32-year-old victim is in stable but critical condition and was transferred to another hospital for treatment.
No suspect information is available at this time, adds Capt. Parker. Anyone with information should call Detective Dereck Evans at the Lumberton Police Department 910-671-3845.
