Lumberton police have released information about three separate shooting incidents that happened over the past week.

On Christmas Eve, police were called after a man reported another male shot him in the foot near the Schoolview Mobile Home Park. The victim’s injuries did not appear to be life threatening, according to Terry Parker of the Lumberton Police Department. 

On Christmas day, a 48-year-old man reported that a strange man drove up to him near Carolina Avenue and Cherokee Street, pulled a gun out and shot him in his “upper leg, lower stomach area.” The victim was flown to a hospital, but according to police he is expected to recover. 

On Thursday, police received a report about a man who had been assaulted in a car. When he ran from the car near the area of Saxon Avenue and Lafayette Street, he heard a gunshot and was struck in his right side. The victim was taken to the hospital.His injuries were not life threatening, according to the press release. 

Investigation into these three incidents are ongoing and no arrests in the cases have been announced.
