LUMBERTON AREA, NC (WBTW) – A teenager was killed in a hit and run crash outside Lumberton, according to the North Carolina Highway Patrol.
Authorities say the wreck happened on North Carolina Highway 72 near Lowe Road around 8:47 p.m. Friday. A 15-year-old boy was killed in the crash, Sergeant McVicker with the North Carolina Highway Patrol said.
Sgt. McVicker added an adult female was also struck and taken to a hospital. She has since been released.
NC Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
