Robeson County deputies say they seized guns, ammunition and prescription medications from the home of a man wanted for shooting a woman just before Christmas.
A press release from Damien McLean says the sheriff’s office’s criminal investigation division arrested 68-year-old Robert McIntyre Sunday for assault charges. After searching his home, he was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, assault inflicting serious injury in the presence of a minor, two counts of possession of firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a stolen firearm, discharging a firearm within an enclosed structure to incite fear, maintaining a drug dwelling, trafficking opium or heroin, possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver schedule II controlled substance, simple possession of schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to Sheriff Burnis Wilkins, deputies were called to Southeastern Medical Center in reference to a woman being shot on December 23. The woman has been shot in the right arm and shoulder.
McIntyre was placed in the custody of the Robeson County Detention Center with a $500,000 secured bond.
