LUMBERTON, NC (WBTW) – A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Tuesday for the Lumberton Airport terminal building.
The project costs about $3.5 million dollars and is funded through federal, state and local funds.
“In the end it’s worth it. It’s a product that we can be proud of, it’s a product that people of Lumberton and Robeson County can be proud of and it’s something that will definitely work for decades into the future,” said Troy Gammon, Lumberton Airport Manager.
It will include airport administration offices, and a public space that can be used for meetings.
The project should be completed by March 2020.
