What was believed to be a box of Lego turned out to be a box of meth, Bulloch County authorities say.
According to the sheriff’s office, back in late February deputies responded to a call about recovered contraband.
Sure enough, inside a box of Lego purchased at a consignment shop in South Carolina was “a quantity of methamphetamine.”
The box was turned over to investigators who contacted the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) for assistance.
The agency believes the package may have been purchased as a part of a storage auction and it eventually ended up at the consignment shop without anyone’s knowledge.
It’s unclear what shop the box was purchased from.
No charges have been made in the case.
