Polling locations for three Florence County voting precincts have been changed for the upcoming elections.
David Alford, the Executive Director for the Florence County Voter Registration and Election Board, says in a press release Florence precinct three, Florence precinct 14, and Timmonsville precinct one will vote at different locations for the primary election on Tuesday and the runoff election on June 26. Florence precinct three will vote at Carver Elementary on Cashua Street. Florence precinct 14 will vote at the Elections and Voter Registration Office at 219 Third Loop Road. Timmonsville precinct one will vote at the Timmonsville Education Center School District Office. Alford also says these changes are temporary and voters in each precinct will return to their regular polling places for future elections.
The South Carolina State Election Commission released a list of answers to frequently asked questions on Wednesday. According to this list, polling locations will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on election days. Voters will also be asked to show one of the following photo IDs: a South Carolina driver’s license, an ID card issued by the SC Department of Motor Vehicles, which includes a SC concealed weapons permit, a SC voter registration card with a photo, a federal military ID, or a U.S. passport. Other questions and answers on the list provide information on obtaining an acceptable form of identification to vote, how candidates are listed on ballots, what elections voters can participate in, absentee and failsafe ballots, and campaigning laws.
