RED BANKS, NC (WBTW) – A driver has been cited for a crash involving a school bus in Robeson County.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol confirmed a crash involving a school bus happened in Robeson County on Tuesday morning. The crash happened near the intersection of Preston Road and Deep Branch Road in the Red Banks area.
A truck was reportedly traveling behind a school bus around 7 a.m., according to NCHP. The bus reportedly stopped near train tracks and the truck hit the back of the bus.
Twenty-five children were on the bus at the time of the crash, but NCHP says no one was injured in either vehicle.
The driver of the truck was cited for failure to reduce speed.
