LUMBERTON, SC (WBTW) – Investigators arrested two men and seized heroin, cocaine, pills and four firearms during a search off Alamac Road near Lumberton.

Melvin Wayne Rogers Jr., 29, and Brock Hunt, 27, both of Lumberton, were arrested after a search at 92 Wayne’s Road, off Alamac Road, on Wednesday.

Investigators found heroin with a street value of about $1,500, cocaine, prescription pills, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, a stolen firearm, and three additional firearms were located and seized, according to the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office.

Rogers was charged with trafficking in opium or heroin, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver heroin, possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, maintaining a drug dwelling, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a stolen firearm.

He was placed in the Robeson County Detention Center under a $350,000 secured bond.

Hunt was charged with trafficking in opium or heroin, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver heroin, possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, possession of a schedule iii and iv controlled substance, maintaining a drug dwelling, possession of marijuana up to a ½ oz, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by a felon.

He was placed in the Robeson County Detention Center under a $150,000 secured bond. Hunt was out on bond for previous weapons offenses.

Robeson County Sheriff’s Office, Drug Enforcement Division Investigators, SWAT Team Operators and Deputies with the Community Impact Team executed the search warrant.
