CLEMSON, S.C. (WSPA) — The Clemson Tigers face the Crimson Tide tonight in the 2019 College Football Playoff National Championship.
Clemson fans here in the Upstate are starting the festivities hours ahead of kick-off.
The city of Clemson is celebrating their team’s accomplishments in a big way.
A National Championship Viewing Party will be held on College Avenue.
The street will be closed between Keith Street and Highway 93 from 5 p.m. Monday to 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Two large jumbotron screens will broadcast the game.
Kick off is at 8 p.m.
City officials say the Open Container Law will be suspended from 7 p.m. to midnight. No coolers or alcohol can be brought into the gated away, nor are alcoholic drinks allowed to be carried outside the gated area.
Wristbands will be issued to those at least 21 years old who wish to buy alcohol inside the gated event area.
