Christmas night Mega Millions drawing could win you $321M

(KXAN/WSPA) — Santa could bring you millions of dollars this Christmas with a Mega Millions jackpot drawing on Christmas night.

The drawing will be held on Tuesday, according to the Mega Millions website and the grand prize will be $321 million with a cash option of $193.7 million.

Lottery tickets are $2 each and could make for a fun stocking stuffer for friends and family. Players have to pick six numbers from two separate pools of numbers. The odds of winning the jackpot are slim but the odds of winning back the money you spent on a ticket are one in 37, according to the site.

The Powerball jackpot is at $294 million as of Christmas Eve. The next drawing – with a cash option of $177.6 million – is Wednesday, Dec. 26.

The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot is 1 in 302.5 million, while the odds of winning the Powerball jackpot is 1 in 292.2 million, according to the N.C. Education Lottery.
