A child was taken to the hospital after being left in a hot car in Pembroke.
Captain Brian Duckworth, with the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office, says the RCSO is assisting the Pembroke Police Department with an investigation after police received a call about a child in a hot car on Monday afternoon.
Duckworth says the vehicle was parked at a local business within Pembroke town limits.
The child was taken to a hospital in Cumberland County for treatment and is expected to survive, according to Duckworth.
No information about suspects or arrests is available.
