Two kayakers were rescued on Wednesday in Brunswick County.
The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office, Oak Island Fire Department, and Oak Island Water Rescue rescued two women from South Carolina after the kayaks they were in got stuck in mud and oyster beds.
Emily Flax, the Public Information Officer for the BCSO, says the rescue took place on the 6400 block of E. Yacht Drive in Oak Island around 1p.m.
