Deputies with the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office have made an arrest in a murder case Saturday.
According to a press release from the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office, Kendrick Barlie Worriax surrendered to deputies in connection to a homicide investigation.
At around 8:30 Saturday morning deputies were called to the 40 block of Truck Lane in Shannon in reference to a man being shot. There they discovered Devin Ray Locklear deceased in the front seat of his car.
Investigators say that Worriax and Locklear got into a dispute leading up to the shooting.
Worriax is charged with first-degree murder and discharging a weapon into an occupied vehicle. He is currently being held at the Robeson County Detention Center without bond. He will have his first court appearance Monday morning.
