SALISBURY, NC (WBTW) – Food Lion stores in Myrtle Beach, Florence, Lumberton and other local areas will be remodeled.

 According to a press release from Food Lion, 92 stores in the Myrtle Beach, Florence, Columbia, and Charleston areas will be remodeled in 2019.

“The $158 million capital investment Food Lion will make in its stores will go toward remodeling the stores, lowering prices, and expanding the assortment of products available at each store,” states the release. “Food Lion is also expecting to hire nearly 2,000 new associates at these stores as part of its commitment to enhancing the customer experience.”

Stores in Bennettsville, Conway, Darlington, Dillon, Florence, Garden City, Georgetown, Longs, Loris, Marion, Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach, Pawleys Island, and Surfside Beach are included in those that will be remodeled.

Several stores in North Carolina will also be remodeled, including those in Fairmont, Laurinburg, Lumberton, Maxton, Pembroke, Red Springs, and St. Pauls.
