Four people, including three teenagers, have been killed in a three-car head-on crash that happened in Laurens County, Sunday morning.

According to SC Highway Patrol, the crash happened at US-221 and New Prospect Church Rd. just after 11:30am.

Three people in a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, and the driver of a Nissan Altima were killed in the crash.

The Laurens County Coroner says 18-year-old Hunter Carter of Union, 16-year-old Kirslyn Richardson of Union, and 15-year-old Charner Inabinet of Union were in the truck and died at the scene.

Troopers say none of the teens were wearing seatbelts.

The driver of the Nissan, 54-year-old Bruce Blair from Laurens also died at the scene, according to the coroner.

Highway Patrol says the pickup truck crossed the center line and struck the Altima head-on and then hit the Charger.

The driver of the Charger was taken by ambulance to Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood.

Union County Schools says at least one student from Union County High School was killed in the crash.

The district released this statement:

“Union County Schools officials were notified of the loss of at least one of our Union County family members earlier today in a tragic car wreck. It is never easy losing a member of your school family and the effects will be felt across our entire community. Union County High School will have counselors and community mentors available tomorrow for anyone needing support. Our heartfelt sympathy and prayers go out to the families and friends affected by this unfortunate event.”
