Thirty people were taken to area hospitals Sunday morning after a floor collapsed during a party at an apartment complex, according to Clemson City Police Department.
It happened at about 12:30 a.m. at The Woodlands Apartments on Old Greenville Highway, police said.
According to police, a private party was being held by a group who had leased the clubhouse when the floor collapsed and crashed to the basement of the building.
According to Clemon’s Associate VP for Strategic Communications Joe Galbraith, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity hosted the event.
So far, there are no life-threatening injuries being reported, according to police.
Clemson University EMS, Pickens County EMS, Med Shore Emergency Services and Clemson University Fire all responded to the scene.
The investigation is on-going.
