NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCBD) – A trip for burgers and fries turned into a chaotic scene at a McDonald’s on Rivers Avenue last week.
An officer with the North Charleston Police Department was dispatched to the fast food restaurant near Otranto Road on March 22nd in response to a disturbance.
Upon arrival, an employee told the officer she was working at the drive-thru window when someone inside a vehicle threw a drink at her.
The employee stated in an incident report that she threw the drink back at the vehicle, and in turn, the car pulled around the parking lot and three female subjects exited the car.
All three subjects entered the restaurant and began taking customers food trays and threw them at the employees.
The report states one of the females walked over to the employee at the window and punched her in the left eye with a closed fist.
All three then left the restaurants and fled the scene.
An employee took a photo of the vehicle’s tag which was registered in Florida.
Police are still investigating.
