LAURINBURG, NC (WBTW) – Authorities have busted up a burglary enterprise, arresting three men and identifying three others.

The Scotland County Sheriff’s Office said the multiple arrests are part of an ongoing criminal enterprise involving at least 31 incidents of cases involving breaking and entering, burglaries, larceny of cars, armed robberies and larceny of firearms.

Several large-scale cases of breaking and entering into convenience stores are part of the investigations, the sheriff’s office reports.

The following people are in custody;

  • Bobby Marqueet Pearson “BJ”, 19, from Fourth Street, Laurinburg, North Carolina,
  • Devon “Devine” Revels, 18, of Beta Street, Laurinburg, NC
  • Majuani Jackson, 19, of Taft Street, Laurinburg, NC

The following people have warrants out on them;

  • Timonte “Monte” Ykwon Purvis, 21, of Leisure Living area and Bennettsville, SC
  • Jakob Shaleef Slade, 17, of Sugar Road, Laurinburg, NC
  • Jalen Quick, of Quick Street, 18, Gibson, NC

The charges stem from cases during the past 2 months.

Many of the incidents include items such as stolen vehicles, stolen firearms, stolen financial cards, purses and wallets, electronic devices such as iPads, cellular devices and more.

A large number of items were recovered from the area of Fourth Street in Laurinburg.

The Fayetteville Police Department is seeking warrants on 20 separate cases and another incident involving a stolen motor vehicle. The sheriff’s office worked with the Laurinburg Police Department, Fayetteville Police Department, Richmond County Sheriff’s Office and Rockingham Police Department on this enterprise.

Authorities suspect the men of having been involved in more incidents that span as far back as May of 2018 and possibly even further.
