An 18-year-old has been arrested for outstanding felony warrants related to an armed robbery that involved several young children.

The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office says Jacoby Odell Locklear, of Rennert Road in Shannon, was arrested Tuesday night on Lombardy Village Road in Lumber Bridge.

Locklear was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, two counts of second degree kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon, communicating threats and six counts of assault by pointing a gun.

The sheriff’s office says the arrest is in relation to an incident that happened on October 17, 2018 on Gina Boulevard in Shannon. The victims were held at gunpoint and $300 was stolen, according to deputies. During the robbery, three of the victims whose ages ranged from 3 to 6 years old, were threatened with the firearm, deputies said.

Locklear was placed in the custody of the Robeson County Detention Center with a $150,000 secured bond.
