Weight loss seminars

Southeastern Weight Loss Center and Southeastern Surgical Center, both affiliates of Southeastern Health, offer more options for weight loss success.

Dr. Eric Velazquez will host a seminar on a variety of weight loss surgery options including adjustable gastric band, sleeve gastrectomy, and Roux-en-Y gastric bypass on Wednesday, March 4 from 6-7 p.m. at Southeastern Weight Loss Center located within the Southeastern Health Mall on the campus of Biggs Park Mall in Lumberton.

Dr. Barry Williamson will host a seminar on LAP-BANDTM on Tuesday, March 10 at the weight loss center from 6-7 p.m.  Registration is required for all seminars by calling (910) 608-0307.

Southeastern Orthopedics hosts joint camp

Southeastern Orthopedics will host a Joint Camp for individuals interested in learning more about joint replacement surgery as well as for patients scheduled for joint surgery. Attendees will meet Southeastern Orthopedics providers and Southeastern Rehabilitation therapists to learn about preparation before surgery and transition to home or rehabilitation after surgery.

The event will be held on Tuesday, March 10 in the Southeastern Orthopedics lobby on the second floor of Southeastern Health Park, located at 4901 Dawn Drive beside Lumberton Ford. Free seminar on knee health in Whiteville

Learn about treatment of early to mid-stage osteoarthritis through a minimally-invasive partial knee resurfacing procedure during a free seminar hosted by Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Riyaz Jinnah of Southeastern Orthopedics on Wednesday, March 11. Breakfast at Biggs Park Mall

Learn about digestive health on Tuesday, March 17 at 8 a.m. in the retail space beside J.C. Penny at Biggs Park Mall in Lumberton. Gastroenterologist Dr. Harvey Allen of Southeastern Digestive Health will share information about colon cancer detection and prevention as March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. Southeastern Health’s Community Health Education Center (CHEC) is hosting a Coffee and Conversation event on Friday, March 20 at 9 a.m. at CHEC, which is located across from the Biggs Park Mall Office.
