Free wellness event planned for Pembroke Walmart – A free community health and wellness event will be held on Monday, Aug. 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Walmart Supercenter in Pembroke. The event, which will take place inside the store, will offer free immunizations, healthy food samples, healthy eating tips, health awareness information, sun safety tips, tours of the Wellness on Wheels (WOW) bus, and blood pressure and diabetes screenings. Attendees will be asked to register at either main entrances to the store. The event is co-sponsored by Southeastern Health’s Community Health Services, Homegrown Health, and Walmart.
