SOUTH FLORENCE- A three-run third inning gave South Florence the lead in the Class AAAA Lower State softball opener against North Augusta and the Bruins never looked back.
South Florence held off a late rally attempt from North Augusta in the seventh inning to win the opener 4-3.
The Bruins will host the winner of Wando vs. Summerville on Monday.
