SOS Health Care Gardening for Disabilities

MYRTLE BEACH, SC – SOS Health Care will be hosting a Spring Planting Event at its greenhouse in Myrtle Beach. The event, a part of SOS’s Green Piece Garden Project, is designed to teach agricultural skills to individuals with Autism and related disabilities.  The participants in the Green Piece Garden Project learn how to plant, fertilize, and harvest different vegetables, herbs, and microgreens. Then, adults in SOS’s Job Coach Program go into the community to supply local businesses with the harvested items.

SOS Health Care partners with Clemson Extension and the 4H Master Gardeners for the Green Piece Garden Project. The event will take place on April 1st at 3:30pm at the SOS greenhouse.
