MYRTLE BEACH – Most of Taylor Karnap’s scholarship offers came from Division-III schools, so when Charleston Southern extended an offer, he couldn’t pass it up.
Karnap signed with the Buccaneers Thursday. It gives him a chance to show off his skills at the FCS level on a team that’s been on the rise the last few seasons.
“It’s very exciting,” Karnap said. “Football is my first love, so I’m just very thankful for the opportunity and to be able to go to a school like Charleston Southern – Big South champs.”
Braves soccer star Jake Perito signed with Limestone. Lacrosse standout Jacob Perritt chose Chowan.
