SOCASTEE- Socastee High School hosted what it hopes will be the 1st Annual 7 on 7 tournament sponsored by Powerade on Saturday.
The event brought two high school teams from North Carolina in town, as well as middle school teams from across South Carolina.
In addition to getting some good practice in, Socastee won the championship game.
“We’re very fortunate to win it today. I’m really proud of our kids and their effort to be out here on a Saturday. Everybody else could be out here at the beach, doing other things and we’re out here working and trying to get better and we did,” Socastee Head Coach Doug Illing said.
